Update: We were able to donate $1,351 to the Surrey Memorial Paediatric Unit! Thanks for your support.

We are pleased to announce our Community Wash Partner for the month of June is Surrey Memorial Paediatric Unit! Below is an excerpt from the Surrey Hospital Foundation’s website:

“The Children’s Health Centre at Surrey Memorial Hospital is the only health facility in the Fraser Valley dedicated to children’s health and paediatric emergencies.  Since it was built, the population in our area has grown by 50%… right now, thousands of local families are traveling to Vancouver to see specialists because there is not enough space to provide more outpatient clinics.

Surrey Hospital Foundation is raising $6 million to transform the Children’s Health Centre by creating a larger, family-friendly space with more clinics for outpatients  and a dedicated area for kids who need day care procedures. The changes will also mean that more patient rooms will be available for children who need overnight stays.”

They are just $1 million shy of reaching their goal! We are excited to see how much we can donate throughout the month of June, but also to use our platform to help spread the word about this project and possibly inspire others to donate as well. For the entire month of June, we will be donating $1 from every Deluxe Wash to the Surrey Memorial Paediatric Unit. Donations will be applied to both full service and express washes.
