Edgewood Elementary School
As a newly established elementary school in our community, Edgewood Elementary is looking for help to develop a second playground! Edgewood Elementary draws students from the Pacific Heights and Sunnyside areas, and is in a unique position to accommodate for roughly 655 students in anticipation for the growth of the area.
The current playground for Edgewood Elementary is quite small, and can only accommodate the younger students from Kindergarten - Grade. 3, leaving the intermediate children without a place to play. The eventual goal is to fully develop a second playground and additional play structures within the coming years.
How your donation will help
The school is looking to raise $100,000 over the next 3-5 years in order to fully expand the playground so that all of their students have access to a place to play. Edgewood Elementary opened in South Surrey on Jan. 11th of this year, they currently have 362 students in attendance.
The best part of this development is that the building contract for Edgewood Elementary allows them to develop their playground slowly as the funds are raised; this means that the children don't have to wait too long for more play structures!
Through the efforts of various fundraisers and programs like our Community Wash Partner program, we're hopeful that Edgewood will be able to reach their mark sooner than later!
$20,000!
Since starting this program at the beginning of March, 2020, we're so incredibly happy to announce that we have recently passed the $20,000 total donated mark! We could not have done this without all of our customers and the support of our community.
We're hopeful to keep the momentum going, and are eager to continue supporting local organizations and causes in our area!
